The objective of this activity is to provide technical assistance to the Environmental Quality Authority (EQA) in Palestine to address plastic waste with focus on Single-Use Plastic Items. The core of this activity is to enhance the country’s awareness and capacity to respond to the challenges posed by plastic pollution /waste, with emphasis on SUPs.
The WES team of environment experts will develop an action plan that includes a range of measures to reduce plastic waste generation, promote plastic waste reduction, and improve plastic waste management practices and will propose a strategy for the gradual ban of SUPs.
