Yesterday (08/05/2024), WES organised an online Inception Meeting on the activity “Development of a draft strategy for plastic waste management with focus on single-use plastics (SUPs) in Palestine”.
Following the Kick of Meeting (organised last March), members of the Environment Quality Authority (EQA), together with the experts and the key stakeholders, discussed the priority of SUP items (max 4 items) to conduct a baseline study, the methodology and workplan to follow, the main issues to address.
Recent and ongoing efforts in tackling plastic waste pollution were presented in the meeting along with international global and regional efforts to combat plastic pollution.
