WES project is co-organising a Side Event “Making the management of Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) circular, truly sustainable” during the Ninth Environment for Europe Ministerial Conference , on the 05/10/2022, at the Cyprus Institute in Nicosia, Cyprus (time: 18:15-19:45).

During the event, the WES Team will showcase the key messages from the regional Study Visit and Workshop that were recently organised on 20-22/09/2022, in Marseilles, France and show the latest WES video on CDW management.

The construction and building industries are vital to economies. But they also generate one of the most voluminous waste streams.

The aim of this side event is to make clear the real “problems” of the “business as usual” practices in CDW vs the opportunities offered by an integrated CDW management and share practices and lessons learned highlighting innovations and pitfalls to avoid.

Co-Organisers of this side event: Associations of Cities and Regions for recycling and sustainable resource management (ACR+), Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy, Water and Environment Support (WES) Project, Mediterranean Information Office for the Environment Culture and Sustainable Development (MIO-ECSDE)

On 07/10/2022, the WES and SWIM-H2020 SM Marine Litter management achievements and WES next steps will be presented (Mediterranean Accession Agenda to the Aarhus Convention and Meeting of Peers under HE-4-REG/P2P), during the sessions below at the Filoxenia Conference Centre:
