WES will support the implementation of the Regional Plan for the Management of Marine Litter in the Mediterranean and the Integrated Monitoring and Assessment Program of the Barcelona Convention for Algeria. This will be done by generating data adapted to needs on the quantities, types, composition and sources of marine litter on the sea surface and on the seabed and by identifying management measures to combat tf marine litter.
This activity aims to strengthen the system of support and promotion of green entrepreneurship through the integration of a specific training offer in the university environment addressed to university teachers and young Algerian university students and likely to contribute to sustainable development of the green and circular economy in Algeria.
N-W-DZ-1: Conduct a diagnosis for the performance of Non-Revenue Water (NRW) and develop a plan for NRW improvements focusing on minimum cost of interventions with fast investment paybacks
This activity will assist a selected public water utility (l’Algérien Des Eaux – ADE) to target the reduction of non-revenue water (NRW) and continue its efforts to improve the management of NRW.
The main objective of this activity is to develop effective intervention strategies aimed at reducing domestic water consumption. A methodology will be developed for the implementation of surveys on the efficiency of residential water use and to assess the behaviour of water users in a selected residential area with the aim of guiding the future development of such strategies.
