This activity will provide assistance to the Ministry of Environment in Lebanon for the prevention/abatement of industrial pollution through and the revision and the improvement of guidelines in the food, construction sector and also in commenting on the draft industrial wastewater standards that are being developed by the MoE.
The collection, transport, treatment and disposal of medical waste are essential in reducing environmental and health risks. This activity is aiming at the promotion of sustainable medical waste management solutions. It will support Palestine in updating the Master Plan with a Roadmap for healthcare waste and define a set of measures for the development of a contingency plan for crisis situations.
The regional event will highlight effective circular economy solutions already in place (with a focus on business models). It will target mainly Business Support Organisations and policy makers to inspire them to effectively support circular economy businesses.
